NewsInfographic’s principle, Don Foley, a University of Florida grad, began doing informational illustrations in 1982 and has since worked for newspapers and news agencies around the country before starting his own full-time illustration firm in 1996. During that time he has had the privilege of working for some of the best media companies in the country and around the world.
Don has written two books on 3D and animation for PeachPit Press and has taught several college courses on 3D and animation. As an art director for Knight-Ridder he created and directed thousands of information-based animations.
With extensive knowledge of the print, broadcast and internet, Don applies his unique skill set by creating informational illustrations and animations to help visualize complex topics.

Don is life-long sailor, which places him in unique touch with the natural world and a great appreciation of our challenges to protect our planet. Many of his projects deal with scientific and technical quests to be better stewards of our world. He has the honor of working with clients who share this perspective and endeavor to use pure science and education to advance awareness of our task at hand.
Don maintains his studio on his sailboat, Cool Change, an blue ocean yacht that is capable of sailing to any point on the planet, but usually visits ports along the eastern seaboard. His home port is Cape Canaveral, FL, adjacent to his home town of Cocoa Beach, Florida.
